Bravo — what is it?

It’s our fishmonger. Truly. Created by bold people for discerning tastes, at Bravo we deliver the very best the sea has to offer, with maximum freshness and quality. All products are prepared, packed and transported according to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.

Of course there is. Whenever you need us, just contact us at geral@alemmar.com.pt, between 9:00am and 6:00pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Want to reach out outside those hours? That’s up to you — we’ll reply first thing within our working hours (9:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday).

It means your fish is purchased at dawn and/or the day before — so you receive fish at its freshest, almost still carrying the scent of the sea. We also support national production. Fish is carefully selected from the best Portuguese fishermen and fishing vessels, provided they follow the highest standards in fish handling.

So many questions — one at a time. Wild fish comes primarily from Portuguese waters (mainland coast, Azores and Madeira). It is sourced from fisheries in Sesimbra, Setúbal, Peniche, Figueira da Foz, Matosinhos, the Algarve coast, the Alentejo coast, the Azorean sea and Madeira — preferably from artisanal fishing boats.

As for fresh seafood, whenever possible it also comes from the Portuguese coast. However, some species arrive from the Galician estuaries so we can bring you the best seafood year-round — especially when national supply is unavailable due to seasonal bans or fishing restrictions that may occur for various reasons.

Imports? Only when you want species that don’t exist in Portuguese waters or when national fishing cannot meet demand.

You should know that challenging sea people is child’s play. Our products are as safe as they come because:

  • We are fully licensed for our activity regarding products, facilities and operations, including storage, preparation and filleting of fresh fish.

  • We operate a strict quality control system ensuring our activity can be regularly monitored and inspected by the competent authorities.

  • We are uncompromising with our H.A.C.C.P. critical control plan, guaranteeing hygiene and food safety at every stage of the process — right up to your door.

Exactly. Your fish arrives cleaned and prepared by us — in other words, ready to cook. With seafood, specific preparation may vary depending on the product, but if you have any doubts, just get in touch.
